Akwesasne, NY (December 31, 2015)—Tarbell Management Group-owned companies Tim Hortons (both Akwesasne and Massena stores) stores donated proceeds to the Akwesasne Cancer Support Group and the St. Lawrence Cancer Group in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Tim Hortons stores raised monies through customer donations and selling pink donuts while the Bears Den Convenience Store donated $5 cents for every gallon of gas that it sold on October 24 — National “Pink Out” day. Money raised by Tim Hortons Akwesasne and Bear’s Den Convenience Store was donated to the Akwesasne Cancer Support Group. Money raised by Tim Hortons Massena was donated to the St. Lawrence Cancer Group.
Tim Hortons Akwesasne and Bear’s Den Convenience Store presented a check in the amount of $2,025.98 to the Akwesasne Cancer Support Group. Presenting the check at the Bear’s Den Tim Hortons were General Manager Tammy Donovan and owner Eli Tarbell. Accepting the check were Akwesasne Cancer Support Group members Edith Adams, George Adams and Kenny Oakes. Tim Hortons Massena presented a check in the amount of $2,168.50 to the St. Lawrence Cancer Group. Mark Brackett accepted the check on the group’s behalf. This marks the third year that Tarbell Management has participated in Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
