On Monday, September 25, 2017, Tarbell Management Group presented the Akwesasne Cancer Support Group with a check for $2652.08. Since 2012, TMG has held a ‘Pink Out’, selling pink Tim Horton’s donuts and ribbons with proceeds going to local cancer support groups. This check represents money raised from last year’s Pink Out. The Akwesasne Cancer Support Group in turn presents local cancer patients with funds to offset the cost of travel associated with cancer treatments and procedures.
Tim Hortons is actively taking donations and selling pink bracelets and hats at their local stores. Then on ‘Pink Out Day’, Saturday, October 21, 2017, Bear’s Den will donate $0.05 for every gallon of gas sold on that day to the fund. There is also a Pink Out Donut for the month of October, which sells for $1 and all proceeds go directly to the Cancer Fund.
